Manufacturers’ distance guidelines between the rows and columns of fixtures. Stay within these guidelines to prevent dark areas between groups of four fixtures. Exceeding the recommendations creates shadows. To calculate maximum row and column spacing, multiply the spacing criterion by the distance from the bottom of the fixture to the work plan height. The lower the number, the closer the fixtures must be spaced.
